About two weeks ago I noticed that my cell reception was poor. This was confirmed when friends, family and colleagues told me they were trying to call me but that my phone just rang without me answering. In addition to this I started receiving voicemails that were 2 to 3 weeks old.
I contacted the MTN Customer Service call centre and explained my problem. I was asked to switch my phone off, remove the sim, wait for 10 minutes and then switch back on again so that my network connection could be reset. This did not resolve the problem and two days later, on 29 August, I contacted MTN again and reported the problem. This time I was given a reference # and told it would take 2-24 hours to resolve.

On 02 September (4 days later) I called MTN again to inform them that I had not been contacted by anyone and that the problem was still not resolved. I was given reference # and told that the problem would be urgently escalated and resolved within the next 24 hours.

I still haven't been contacted by MTN.
If this were not a company phone I would definitely terminate the contract. This is rotten service at its best
