I have been battling with reception since june this year. A technician came out an corrected a base station issue and everything was fine (reasonably). I then opted to get a second contract however I immediately experienced poor quality (38 dropped calls in 8 hours). I called Cell C and was given a reference number and told the same technician will be requested to attend to the problem. Two days later no technician and no phone call!!! I called the complaints department this time and they told me my reference number does not exist (even though i repeated the number back to the call center agent) and I should create a new one. I agreed and was given a new "escalated" reference number. Since then (approximately December 5th), I am yet to receive a phone call or have a technician come and correct the problem. I have attempted to call Cell C more then 50 times and most of the time the phone number for the complaints department (0113244000/8000) just rings.
I have stated I refuse to pay my bill as my line is unusable however they have told me a credit will only be passed after the issue is resolved. So this month i get the privilege of paying Cell C R979 for nothing!!!
