Dear Vodacom,
I went in to buy a pre paid microsim on Tuesday from a local retailer.
RICA the sim as per legislation.
Purchased airtime (BTW only reason went into purchase a prepaid sim, is cause my private contract doesnt allow an option to buy MMS bundles)
Today I decided to use the Sim Card.
Card worked fine.
Until, I decided to recharge the sim with airtime.
Access denied.
So decided the manual route, by dialing 100.
Again, access denied.
Fed up, I called the 111 to request info as to why this has happened.
The consultant said Network down.
So i said "OK".
Askd When wil it be up and running, she said she is not sure.
Asked her again and explained that the only i bought the sim is to complete a project at work which is higly dependent on the sim usage.
She said, "nothing she can"
I so i said ok and closed the conversation.
Is it not vodacom responsibility to inform its retail partners of such situation to avoid customer frustration???
I mean vodacom will forward you a message to say you have Rica but not a message informing you that there is a problem with the network.
Simple heads up will have erradicated the situation created.
Now, I am delayed due to this.
Thanks BTW
