INCORRECT PHONE BLACKLISTED BY VODACOM

On the 27th August, my phone displayed a message which read: "phone not allowed MM6" - when I contacted the call centre on the 28th, I was advised that the phone was initially blacklisted but upon investigation, the call centre agent told me that "everything was in order", went to discuss with his supervisor, and when he came back on the line, stated that I just needed to upgrade the software at my nearest Vodacom store, no charge as the phone was still in the warranty period. I went to the Vodacom store on 29th August and was told that it WAS blacklisted after all! I NEVER reported the phone as! I then had to supply an affidavit to that effect and told that someone called FREDA had the phone blacklisted. No other details. I contacted the call centre today REF: S3-T062C-C70ia - the number blacklisted was NOT SUPPOSED TO BE MINE. I have not had a phone since 27 August - HOW DOES THIS HAPPEN - WHERE ARE THE SECURITY CHECKS??? This is unacceptable and has inconvenienced me greatly - I would like to know how this happened and why the call agent gave me the WRONG INFORMATION??? Am I going to be credited for the time I was unable to use the line???
