After I booked a 2meg uncapped adsl line, the modem was installed on Monday - all I had to do is phone 10210 for a user name and password. Easy? NO! At first I was told that they installed a 5gig 1meg line, and if I needed to upgrade that, it can only be done after 48-72h, when the order was closed. Then when I phoned on Wednesday, if received a email address and password. Only to find out that nothing happens. On Thursday, after being on the phone for 49min with Telkom, they tell me the line is not sinking - confirming that the line is a 011-. numbr, but I'm in Cape Town!! Why would they use that number for the ADSL? Then they confirm that my line is a 021 number, but cannot tell my what the problem is. After they have spoken to the senior technician, a mail will be sent to tell me what the following steps will be. A big fat nothing. On Friday Telkom phone me at home, speaks to my mom, which informs the lady that she needs to call me at work or on the cell, which number she confirms, but NOTHING - no call. And when I phone them 3 hours later, I am being informed that I have to go back home in order to go through the whole process again, because he can only help me from there!
