Dumb Virgin Mobile inconvenient processes

Have not used my secondary cell in a while but the Virgin Mobile sim is RICA'd and there is a credit balance of R29.68 on the sim which is prepaid. I tried to use this today but found I could not call any number or even the call centre. The call centre number (0741000123) cuts off on any phone, including landline when you dial it. Eventually called their head office and they transferred me to the call centre who then said the reason I could not dial a number is because I have not used the phone for a while and its in a"cooling off" period and if I want to use the phone now, I must buy R5 more airtime to reactivate which I found preposterous as I have a credit balance. I then asked the operator to take the R5 from the credit balance to activate, which she said she could not do and that I needed to go to a garage or pick and pay to buy airtime. This is very inconvenient and even my cell phone banking does not even sell Virgin airtime anymore. Virgin should change their stupid non friendly processes which inconveniences their customers and impacts their service delivery. This is absolutely pathetic!!
