On 14/12/2012 I phoned the call centre "Options" to reduce costs by downgrading from "Closer 3" to "Closer 2". Instead, I was offered a 25% discount on "Closer 3", which I accepted.
After numerous calls to Telkom Accounts, implementation took 3 months and eventually appeared on my March 2013 Invoice as "TOC Telkom Closer 25% -R74.78". Then along comes my April 2013 Invoice and the discount has changed to "TOC DO Broadband 25% -R48.03. The same appeared on my May, June, July and August Invoices.
I cannot count the number of times that I have phoned Telkom to try to have the problem sorted out. Often my call is just cut, other times I am passed back and forth between Accounts and the Options Centre, each saying the other is responsible. A number of times my complaint has been "Escalated", and "Someone will call you", but I never get that call! I have even gone to the "Telkom Direct" store and they say they cannot help me, and that I must use the phone provided.
The "Options Centre" tell me that I should be getting the 25% discount on the "Telkom Closer", but the "Accounts" section tell me their "system" will transfer the discount to the "DO Broadband", giving me lower discount.
