I was recently lured by the marketing hype into buying a Samsung S3. I liked it until I woke up one morning to find the screen shattered. Unless I throw things around in my sleep I know I did not drop it. I knew I did not have a leg to stand on when Sandton Vodacare told me I dropped it but they said it would be fixed within 72 hours. After about a week I got an sms to say it was water damage. I am really careful about looking after such an expensive phone and I cannot believe it was water damage. Having talked around I was amazed to hear how many people have had the same problem with screens shattering, and its not cheap to fix, somehow this does not come under the warranty I thought I had for this very expensive phone. Meanwhile they have had my phone for 10 days and customer care has no idea when it will come back, they say its "sensitive". Whats up with Samsung, they may have all the fancy gimmicks but they are worth nothing if your phone breaks for nothing within 6 months.
