I was at MTN longbeach mall in June 2013, and asked the consultant, should I not cancel my contract, would the monthly fee still be R149.00. She said that this was correct. It would continue the same as before and I would be able to cancel or upgrade should I want. As i was not ready to upgrade, this was perfect. I could continue the way I was.
As I know I only pay R149.00 each month I do not loook at my account. To my suprise I checked this today just to see that my account is R301.80. I called MTN and I was nformed the information the consultant had given me was incorrect, that the billing would be more as I no longer qualify for the special as my contract had ended. This means I am in arrears from last month.
Now who is to pay this money?? As I am definetely not responsible!
If I had known this, I would have cancelled the contract after the 24 months, as it is not feesable. This is why I went to the store to confirm that it would still be R149.oo each month.
Please could someone advice what I am to do regarding this outstanding fee!! I am NOT paying it!! The consultant informed me of the incorrect details and must pay! I also want to end my contract.
