What you sign for is not what you pay fo

On 1 August 2013 I took out a new contract with Vodacom. it was the deal that they had on the iphone 5 for R399pm x 24 Months. The consultant asked me if I would like to take insurance on the handset and I accepted. This was an additional R195pm x 24 months. So in total I should pay R595 for my new contract pm for 24 months. A week later I received my statements from Vodacom one for this R595 and a separate one for R300 24 month handset instalment. so in actual fact this phone is costing me R895 on the Smart S package with insurance? When I phoned customer care the lady informed me that with any handset you take with Vodacom you have to pay for it. so I feel that this is false advertising cause how can you say the phone is R399 pm if you now have to pay an additional R300? then the phone is not R399 pm then it should be advertised for R699? But what I can't understand is how Vodacom can take an additional R300 from my bank account if I did not sign for it? I signed for R399 plus R195 for insurance?
