Cut my service, even although I did pay

I got an SMS from Telkom mobile today, to say that they would hand me to the lawyers, credit bureus, and suspend my 3G account within 48 hours, because my payment was overdue. This was to notify me that I could make an arrangement or make the payment. I phoned to tell them that I had paid R496 on Saturday the 27th July. My normal monthly account is R398. Apparently I was a little behind, and I promissed to pay the balance at the end of the month. They told me that they were not prepared to make an arrangement.

Telkom Mobile told me that they could see my payment made on the 27th, but I would be suspended in anycase, because they had already sent me an SMS. Also to start with my service was really fast, but since Telkom took over I have been forced into using only edge, which is too slow for what I need. I am extremely sorry that I subscribed to the Telkom offering.
