I visited Vodacom Springs Branch to enquire if they had a car charger for the new IPhone5. The assistant at the reception desk handed me the unit and it said that it was compatible with the IPhone 5. I paid the R299 for the unit and returned back to my office 5 minutes away from the store. When I opened the box I realised that the unit was NOT compatible with the IPhone 5 and returned the unit 30 minutes later. I requested a refund on my credit card and I was told that they cannot give me a refund as it was company policy not to refund but if I give them my banking details, head office will deposit the money back into my bank account which I did not accept as my banking details are confidential.
For a company the size of the Springs outlet, I find it very strange that the manager is not allowed to refund a customer taking the above into consideration aspecially if the product does not comply with what is advertise on the box.
I suggested to the manager to give the owner the R299 which I have wasted at the branch and hopefully the owner can make good use of my money.(Is it may be a matter of no trust at the branch).
As a matter of interest, I spend R30000 pm on my Vodacom account
