TELECOM: USELESS & INCOMPETENT

My landline has been off since 1 August 2013. The matter was reported on 2 August to the call Center. It took them 12 days to send a technician, after I complained. Technician arrived, tested the line etc etc and got the phone working. The phone only worked for 6 hours and we are back to square one. The matter was again reported on Thursday. As usual we are into the weekend and without a telephone again. The bottom line is that i am without a line since 1August. TELKOM has become USELESS and INCOMPETENT. Being the sole provider of telecomm in SA one would have thought that would have mastered their craft. On the contrary, their service was deteriorated. They have a useless and untrained call centre, and their "area managers" are beyond reproach. One wonders whether they even exist. Customer service is a foreign concept to them. They have never heard of such a thing. Their new manthra is that the cables have been and this excuse is being flogged by their call centres. Come Mon/Tues it will be 20 days (yes 20 days) since this phone went faulty. Telkom should be honest and advise Clients to find another service provider as their pathetic efforts thus far has been found wanting
