Waiting for response on a upgrade cancelation

Good day,
I've upgrade a week (10 August) ago at a branch in Centurion. But to make a long story short I went in on the 1st to hear if I could upgrade. The guy in the store said yes and we had a look at some phones. The one I wanted was not in stock on the 10th the guy phoned me and said the phone was there if I wanted to upgrade.
I went in then he said he had to phone the credit department because there is now something wrong with my credit rating sins it was fine on the first.
So I could not get the phone that I wanted to my humiliation, I took a different phone that I was not happy with. I have now decided I don't want this phone and would rather cancel my contract at the end of my contract period.
I've been trying to find out from them (email and Facebook massage) if I could do this and had no response from them.
