Sim card changed to contract, then deactivated

I applied to mtn for a contract and on thursday they called me to tell me my contract was approved. On Saturday I got an sms telling me that my contract had not been approved. then on Monday the 12th I tried to check my airtime and it told me I had minutes and data instead of airtime.then my sim card started telling me "unregistered sim card." it would not let me make calls or send sms's. I went to mtn on Monday and they told me they would fix the problem and put it back onto prepaid as my contract had not been approved. it is now Thursday and my sim card is STILL not working and I went on Tuesday as well to speak to them but still nothing.
