I own a blackberry 9230 which i purchased approximately 3 months ago. My track ball and menu button starting working selectively. I booked my phone in to be repaired which was sent to the Riverhorse Valley, Technical Services Centre, Durban. They have returned the phone stating that it cannot be repaired due to liquid damage. They have quoted me R5400.00 to repair the handset. My phone has not be dropped in water or exposed to any kind of liquid or moisture. I have previously owned a blackberry 8250 for over 3yrs and it not once gave me any kind of problem. I feel that the phone has a manufacturing fault and that MTN is using liquid damage as an excuse for not wanting to replace the handset. I am highly disappointed!!!
