3 years ago I changed bank accounts. I informed Vodacom at Somerset West Mall of my banking details change for the debit order, and they updated the details. After month end, my phone was blocked. I went back to Vodacom, yet to find wrong banking details still on the system. I immediately paid the balance cash at Standard Bank, and they switched my line on again. End of next month same thing again, and I paid the balance straight away. After I gave the Vodashop proof of payment, they informed me that my number has been deleted from the network, and I must wait for Vodacom Legal to contact me. Now they appointed several debt recovery companies to get the full amount outstanding for the contract out of me. Every time I explain that I did not default on the account. Then they simply say they will get back to me, and 1 month later a different Debt recovery company phone me. They are threatening me to sell my furniture and household goods in order to recover the money. This is a matter of principle, and still to date not a single phonecall or letter from Vodacom explaining why they even deleted my number? It was my business phone number, but not that they care!
