I have a long standing contract with Mtn which includes an insurance policy covering me for and damage of my cellphone. My phone was recently and i duly reported the incident at the police station. After making the report i contacted Mtn and lodged an insurance claim. My claim was subsequently rejected by Mtn. They advised that i was no longer covered for insurance because i had recently inserted a different sim card in phone. The card i inserted was an international sim card as a result of a trip overseas. I was never advised that this would affect my ability to claim. In fact Mtn advised me to rather get a sim card overseas because it would be more expensive to add roaming to my contract. I am not happy that i have paid monthly insurance instalments for an extended period without any service for my contributions. Kobus advised me to send a motivational letter which i subsequently did but, my claim was still rejected for the same reason. I have four mobile contracts with Mtn and i am now considering moving to another network as a result of the poor service i have received in relation to my claim. I expect a positve response from the supplie
