No survice but still charging me

I applied for 2 MTN contracts and was told that I will have to be on pre-paid for 3 months before the contract started and that my new phone and new SIM cards would only be active after the three months have passed.

I then cancelled the contracts and returned the phones immediately. Within the 7 day return period.

I got notified today that I will be charged penalties for using the phones.

The phones were opened in store by the sales person to make sure that they were working, they remained switched off and in their boxes untill the day that I returned them.

This is totally unacceptable as I returned the UNUSED phones back to the store within the 7 day return period.

Please sort this out immediately as I refuse to pay for your non delivery of service and for something that I did NOT use.

The phones were not used by me and were returned in their original packaging.
