I recently discovered that I had used 173% of my one 20G username.
I was shocked as I was supposed to be capped automatically at 20G.
I phoned in to make sure I wasn't going to be charged for this.
I was told that I had requested it (which I hadn't).
They could not tell me when or how I had requested it.
Why would I have requested it when I still had another username at 20G free and available to use?
Telkom are either just automatically putting post paid billing on the ADSL usernames or there was a glitch in the website as I hit the 100% mark.
Either way this is definitely a TELKOM PROBLEM and it is an error on their part so why should I pay for this?
I have always been capped at 20G and I then change and use my alternative usernames.
I have just been on the phone for 52 minutes trying to speak to someone who knows what I am talking about.
I have spoken to about 7 people who keep transferring me to someone else.
Eventually I just hung up the phone as I could see I wasn't getting anywhere.
If TELKOM bills me for this mistake on their part it will be totally unethical and devious so watch out customers as it could happen to you too.
