I upgraded one of 5 cellc contracts. After I received my phone I had to do a sim change because the phone only took a mini sim. Nothing happened and I was called the next day by a sales person telling me that there was an error and that he will activate my sim in two hours time. All was fine. When I checked one of my other accounts someone changed my contract to another contract while I did not asked or told them to do it. There was still 5 months remaining on this contract. They changed the contract from R350 airtime 100 sms to 100min. 100sms and 100 mb, causing me to lose about R800 airtime that was accumilated by me. I lodged a complaint and was told that they will re emburse me the lost money, but are not going to change the contract back. So now I must just bend over and take it? They cannot find the recording of me upgrading my phone also. So who said I even upgraded my first phone? And they can break a contract and change my cell contract when there is still 5mnths remaining? Think from here I must take them on under the consumer act or legally. I feel very pregiduced. To think that I trusted them for the last 15 years of having a contract with cellc.
