DO NOT EVER TAKE A VODACOM PROCUCT OVER THE PHONE!

A while ago I was offered over the phone an upgrade for my vodacom 3G. The upgrade turned out into a total downgrade ending up without connection.
I normally don't take over the phone a product and for one I did I got big time. In fact it is shocking that telesales as it is, is legal in the Banana Republic of South Africa. After the debit order which the Vodacom shop in Clearwater JNB told me to reverse (yes, they don't even know their own procedures and products) the payment the started. Eventually I send Vodacom proof of payment and a follow-up email to what they call 'customer care'...no response (OF COURSE). Getting an sms that payment was not received warning that I would be shut down... another follow-up email with proof of payment... no response (OF COURSE) and today... my internet 3G shut down. Customers/consumers in the Banana Republic SA do not have rights or don't know them. Since Vodacom has not commit to the telesales agreement am cancelling my 3G even thought am out of the 7 days cancellation window. Vodacom is more than welcome to take legal steps which I am more than happy to do as well. Conclusion: FIRST WORLD TECHNOLOGY IN THRID WORLD HANDS CANNOT WORK!
