In the first week of May, I had called Telkom to convert my existing anytime package to a Telkom simple package for the same amount of R399.00. The call center agent told me that this should not be a problem and that a technician would come to my place to install. On the 8th of May I received an sms saying that the technician would come on the 13th May. However they did not come and then I called Telkom who then said that I had to collect the modem from Telkom. I told them that this was not said to me and I refused to go and collect it. After making over 20 phone calls to Telkom, they finally send someone with the modem. I then installed it. That was on the 29 May.
I then received a statement showing that i owed over R1200.00. They were charging me for both the anytime plan and for the adsl. I was shocked as I had specifically told them to convert the line. i then called again many times. A lady then called me to say that they would first have to cancel my anytime line and then I could have the Telkom simple with 10gb free. I was confused as I thought the simple came with 5gb free for 300.00. I also went to the Telkom Cresta store who were so confused and unable to assist me. I
