I have had a seemingly endless hassle with Vodacom after purchasing a Blackberry curve 9360 on contract. The service I received from Vodacom has been appalling to say the least, and to think that Vodacom advertises the brand as being one of the best cell phone service providers in the country. I am disgusted that after all this time no one at Vodacom has bothered to contact me with regards to my complaint.
My Blackberry froze a lot and the battery would appear to be fully charged but the phone would die within an hour after charging and it would feel very hot to the touch. The phone was taken in to the Vodacom Kenilworth Branch for repairs. After 7 days the phone was returned to me. I had to contend with all of the same problems which had not been repaired as well as a black line running through the screen. To say that I was not happy is an understatement. I contacted the branch and informed them that my phone had not been repaired and that the screen had been damaged while the phone had been in for repairs. I was shocked when Vodacom issued me a bill of R1200 for these repairs! I refused to pay for this and contacted head office directly on various occasions without any success.
