I have been trying to block adult content on my children's blackberry phones for the past week. I have been sent from pillar to post and have only received the following response: "vodacom are unable to block adult content on blackberry phones, the matter should be referred to the manufacturer.". This was relayed by Phindile at the customer service centre as well as Amaanulla Waggie via an sms. How can this be? Vodacom have refused to take responsibility for this and are not informing parents of this fact when selling contracts to them for their minor children. Blackberry are nowhere to be found for comment. The only number you can call is for tablet support. This is an atrocity of the worst kind. In light of this, I have requested that my blackberry phones be replaced with other, appropriate alternative phones, where I am able to block adult content. Vodacom said no.
