After logging the fault on the 7th of January 2013, my line is still dead (22 January 2013). I have called the help desk countless times (from my cell phone!) and the only answer is "you call will be ESCALATED". This seems to be the only word being used! ESCALATED does not help!! The latest update from telkom help desk is "A technician was at your premises" - What nonsense! Is this what telkom customer service has come to? Lying? I guess I have no option but to just wait and pray for telkom to find it in their hearts to fix my line which I still have to pay for, even though it is dead.
