Failure to cancel 'Get it' Service

Cell C's 'Get it' contacted me to subscribe to this programme around 15 May 2013.I tried using this service but as expected it is not what it is promised to be. I contacted the call centre to cancel on 22nd of May 2013.

A week later I phoned again to confirm cancellation. I was told that someone from the cancellations department was trying to get hold of me, with no luck. Which is a load of. I have not had a missed call, a voicemessage, sms or email from anyone regarding this. Strange that they could get hold of me to sell this nonsense.

I was obviously billed for this end of May as you pay a initiation fee and a 30 day notice must be given. So considering I cancelled on the 22nd of May, by the 22nd of June all must have been finalised.

To the contrary, I followed up again 3 to 4 times, no luck. I was again billed at the end of June for July!! When I called in, same nonsense story. I lodged a query on the website on the 16th of July, to date, NO reply.

If the cancellation is not confirmed with me by end of today IN WRITING, I WILL take Cell C to the Consumer Protection board - this is as you are taking my money without my permission.
