After complaining and being told I will get refunded within 5 - 7 working day I am still waiting for my money!! This is the response I got from MTN looks like their word is just as useless as their service.

Kindly be advised that the payment was received after the invoice of June had been finalised on the 20th and a request for a debit sent to your Bank for the 1st of July however we have requested a refund which will be processed and should reflect in your bank within 7 working days.
