I went overseas and lost my sim card, went into MTN Canal Walk main branch and was helped by Toufeeq who assisted me in buying a new sim card for the sim swop... since then I have been trying to get the sim card activated with empty promises from the customer service online people, to the 808/0831808 numbers that takes more than 10 minutes to be answered or not get answered due to technical faults. They promise turn around time of 2 - 24 hours but its 5 days later today and no luck. All staff is always very apologetic which is even more frustrating because nobody can help me, i get told daily that the sim swop failed on the 9th due to technical problems and they escalated the problem to the technician and problem will be sorted in 4 hours... thats the same promise from different staff daily, still no cellphone working. This is my work phone and its giving me endless problems with no calls and e mails being received by me... its ridiculous that a big company like MTN cannot sort out a sim swop. All i need is my phone working please MTN..
