I have 2 phone &; 2 data contracts running off my business account. It's was a Sunday when all 4 contracts were cut off. I called the call centre to query the fault. I was transferred from one department to the next and each individual was as rude as the other. Their simple answer was to pay the account in full immediately if I wanted to be reconnected as I had exceeded my limit - no further explanation. They were not sure as to when the query would be handled.
I then went into the Vodacom Fourways branch where I received a far more pleasant reception. They looked into all four accounts & discovered the one data account (2gig-R149.00) had used R9399.15 worth of data. I was horrified as nothing in my setups have changed or the manner in which I use the devices. I have written letters (24 March 2013), the store has tried to assist but they cannot do more than submitting the letters. I need to make mention that when I was in the store a number of people had either experienced the same thing or reporting a similar incident. Is this what Vodacom does, bills you ridiculous amounts, receives the money and forgets about you? Unacceptable practice!
