Technician arrived at 8:30. Neither technician nor I could get into contact with the "exchange" team responsible for getting line up and running. After many calls and around 1:30PM, my line was connected (Technician received no notification so we discovered this by chance). ADSL and line worked for half an hour and now has died!!! Eight people later on the telkom call centre and am told they cannot give me a fault log reference but I should wait for a technician to call (will this even happen??) and also wait another 12 hours as for some strange reason my line is gone back into construction. How does a working line revert to being constructed again?? Why doesn't the call centre folk even know the correct contact number for the faults line?? Why is this such a disorganised, inefficient procedure? When will my line be up and running as Telkom is certainly charging me from today?
