I have been an MTN client literally since MTN started... This 3G device, probably about 5 years... the service is usually not splendid in Lonehill - none of the other providers perform at all in Lonehill so I should be grateful that MTN has some sort of coverage...
I have called the call centre 3 times in the last 3 weeks. The connectivity has been particularly bad these last 3 weeks. I have had 2 different, totally different settings recommended to me. Neither actually has done any miraculous stuff...
Essentially I am left wondering whether I should not just toss out my Telcom landline and this 3G non performing stick and go and get Neotel and have a phone that works at home, and their connectivity option. I have been told by Vodacom and also MTN that they are trying to boost the receptivity in Lonehill - clearly its not easy to do because it has not happened yet - thats the benchmark that I need to use - if its not done - why not. I have a couple of mates in this area who complain of the same dismal performance, and they are as proactive as I am, so I cannot imagine that this is new to MTN. Common, whats with this deafness of yours, for pete's sake just improve it!
