Cell C constantly advertises 'the best/fastest data coverage in South Africa', yet we have had numerous problems with this over the last months.

Having two cellphone contracts, as well as another mobile internet contract (for a tablet), we have noted enormous inconsistency in the performance of these devices, with signals ranging from full 3G to EDGE to no signal at all at any given time of day. Sometimes we even get 3G on one device, while the other two will have no connection or EDGE when all the devices are in the same room!

I have reported this numerous times with the same 'there is no fault registered' answer every time. Due to lack of other explanations, I can only assume that the data connections are regulated in this way for one reason only: PROFITABILITY.

Is it coincidence that the pre-paid 2Gb/month device is the one with the most 'down time'? No! What better way to make money than to sell customers volumes they CANNOT use in a specific time frame?? It's like selling 20 gym visits per month to a gym that is only open on 10 days.

In short, I smell a rat! And I intend getting to the bottom of this through all the channels at my disposal.
