Mweb
ADSL Hacking

On Tuesday 2nd July I received a sms from Mweb to say I had reached 50% of my 8G ADSL limit, a message I normally receive in the last week of the month. When emailed them to check if this was correct I received no response and by Tuesday night over 65% was gone. When I called them on Wednesday, after still no response, I was told that many of the Vkom routers had been hacked and that I needed to change settings on the modem they had supplied me. When I asked if I would have the usage reinstated I was told no, as it was hacked. When I checked all documents in the box set sent with the router, there were none to say activate said settings. When I called back Thursday, I was still told it was my prerogative to know to activate the settings and I could buy more bundles if I run out before the end of the month then while I was still talking they cut the line, obviously considering the mattered closed. I wonder what my boss will think when I cannot do my work in the latter weeks of the month?
