I am a loyal MTN customer, and after this weekend, I am even more PRO-MTN! My husband has a Blackberry contract with Vodacom through his father. This BlackBerrys' screen started to fade and my husband took the phone to Vodacom to repair. I have friends who had bad experiences with Vodacom and said Vodacom will tell us that the reason the screen started fading, is water damage. Well, with faith in our community, we went to Vodacom. They said we must pay R480 to fix the phone (a new phone costs R1000), due to physical damage from our side. We explained that this was not the case, as the phone did not fall or anything in such relation. Then, like everyone said, they said it was liquid damage as well. The indicator in the phone now shows red. This was not the case when we handed in the phone, and the lady to whom my husband gave the phone, did not document it as such on the receipt. SO, my question is: What did Vodacom do with our phone whilst in their possession? I know this message will not help our situation one bit. But I can promise you this, I will never switch to Vodacom. Thank you MTN for your loyal service over the past 10 years, and for fixing my past phones hassle free!!
