Billing Cheek - 1 Month for NOT being connected?

Late April of this year, I applied for a 2MB ADSL line.
I patched the order about a week before the end of the month, and my internet was finally up and running on the last day of April.

However, I was billed the 1 month "deposit" (to which I have no complaint - even though this was NOT MADE AWARE TO ME BEFORE HAND and came as a bit of a shock) AS WELL AS for the entire month of April - to which I was only connected on the very last day? Over R1500 for 1 days internet?!

When I called in to enquire about having to pay a massive sum for only 1 days worth of internet, the very helpful gentleman on the phone admitted to me that whom ever it was who dealt with my enquiry should have informed me to rather connect as of the first of the month, otherwise I would be billed for the entire month, which is exactly what happened. He then further explained that this person most probably didn't inform me so that they could make the commission before month end.

I am extremely angry that this salesperson made herself a lovely commission before the end of the month AT MY EXPENSE - and I was slapped with a huge bill for ONE days internet usage.

Feel completely cheated.
