Vodacom
Data fees

I upgraded to a BlackBerry Z10 2 weeks ago and was shocked to find out that in this period I had a data bill of R1500. I phoned 082 155 (24/6/13) and a male operator told me to turn off the the data and remove my battery in order for the phone to stop carrying out auto updates to the RIM server.
The next morning I logged into my Vodacom account again and surprise, another R215.00 invoiced. So, once again I phoned 082 155 and a friendly woman said that the advice the I had recieved the previous day was never going to work. The Z10 carries out auto updates and cannot be turned off. well, you can turn it off, but then BBM and any other app does not work. In that case i can buy a phone for R99.00 at PEP.

1). I was not cautioned about this upon enquiring about the handset.
2). Why musy I pay R1500.00 for services not recieved.
3). I did not contact the RIM server up to 27 times a day (between 00h00 and 05h00) DAILY. The phone is doing it's own thing.

I feel this is so wrong and unethical from Vodacom to expect this. Not to mention that they bill me R98.00 for BES while I was told that BES is not included on OS 10 handsets (including my Talk 200 contract)..
