What a disaster! Signing a Data 500 mobile modem contract with MTN was the worst mistake I could make. This contract was signed in December 2012 providing me with 500MB broadband. On that date I requested a cap to added to the account not to exceed 500MB. I was told I could only apply for a cap after three months. During the first four months I paid on average R1 071 a month I thought a cap isn't really necessary. It was only when my May account arrived when I realised I made a mistake not following up the cap issue. The bill was R4 082. I immediately contact MTN and requested a detailed account. On 4 June Tarryn Bennett responded with an email stating my charges was correct. I requested a URL report but was only sent an account of the bytes used. This showed that on 27 April I used EIGHT TRILLION bytes costing R2 980. That is impossible. I never use so much data! I requested again a URL report indicating where this data was used. The next thing my cell phone was cut off although I paid the cell phone separately. This was switched on and Monday switched off again. There is a dispute about a modem not a cell phone but they cut off my cell phone! I think this is blackmail!!!
