Poor Signal, Unreasonable Cancellation Terms

In December 2011 I signed a 24 month data contract with 8ta.

I had been fairly happy with the service that I received until May 2013.

Recently, I moved into a complex unit.
I checked the coverage map before moving in and according to the map, the complex is well covered for 3G service.
However, signal on the ground floor results in 3G performance which is unusable (ranging from -110dbm to -98dbm).
The complex does not allow external fixtures to be made and therefore an antenna is not an option.

I consulted an 8ta rep regarding cancellation of my contract and was told that the penalty will amount to the sum of my remaining contract payments.
I find this to be highly unreasonable due to the nature of the contract - it is an Internet 5 promo which came with no device and therefore payments are 100% service related.

I feel that this is an unethical response to a client's problem and therefore tough to recommend this service provider to associates.
