Not Allowed to roam on other networks

To whom this concerns.

I've recently gotten a mobile wifi contract from the Telkom Mobile store in Pavilion (the 3GB promo with 3GB Night Owl data for R159pm.) I was not told that the router would only work on 8ta's 3G signal, and would not be allowed to roam on other networks, neither was I told that the remaining data would not be carried over to the next month. So seeing that I live in Johannesburg, I checked the coverage for my home in JHB and it had coverage, so we took the contract out (and by the way, it works perfect there so excellent job there!) The problem is that now I'm going to be spending 2-3 months in Durban at my holiday home and I cannot use my wifi router because I am not allowed to roam on MTN which is giving me 3G signal. To top it off, my data isn't getting carried over, which means that I'm going to lose out on an estimated 18GB of data, and that is ridiculous.

Would it be possible to have a booster installed nearby so that I can have 3G signal from 8ta and make full use of my router? As it stands, my data is being thrown away essentially.
