This Monday (10-06-13) i received an sms to say that my upgrade request was being processed. This came as a shock as I recently requested for my contract to be cancelled (contract ends end of June) and vodacom does have record of this btw. I immediately called the vodacom upgrades dept to find out how this was possible. I was then informed that an upgrade was done via a company called Elite mobile in Liberty Towers DBN and they were able to see this was done by someone with the username "kyle" who had even chosen a phone for me.. the Sony xperia Z. Now firstly i was neither contacted by a kyle or anyone from Elite mobile and secondly I NEVER AUTHORISED ANYONE to do an upgrade on my contract or even choose the sony xperia z. This is and i have every right to take you guys up with the CPA and I think i will be. You have no right to do such a thing without the persons request. IT IS . People beware and take heed when your contracts are close to the end.
