I reported a problem to the MTN call centre in South Africa that I was having of sending SMSes/text messages to a particular friend's Georgian number, in Georgia. A ticket number was opened but MTN, despite promising to resolve the problem and get back to me within five to seven working days, have not done so!
I am also unable to receive messages from my friend's number or a second number of theirs. The strange thing is I can call them and they can call me. I've also tried sending SMSes to them using a second MTN simcard I have, but without success.
One call centre agent event let me hold for 15 minutes while they checked their policy of how many days it would take to complete the query!
Come on, this isn't Burkina Faso. Please can you put me in touch with the technician so I can resolve this problem speedily!
