I must say i'm very dissapointed by MTN network, and the fact that i have been a loyal subscriber for so many years and never ever thought i could consider changing to another provider, but as from this day im changing. From last week friday (07/05/2013), i needed to make an urgent call and to my suprise i kept on getting an error on my phone saying "congestion" and if asomeone calls my number they get "dead air", initially i thought it was just a temporary issue or perhaps something was wrong with my phone, and would be resolved speedily. I also tried calling 173 &0839001212 to report but was also getting the same error.i was home in newlands East then, and i went to my neighbour who uses MTn to see if she was also experiencing this problem and she was. But the later on i went to Mount edgecombe and i realised i was not exprenciencing this problem.so to be precise all your MTN users that are residing in Newlands EAst are not able to make or recieve calls from friday until today!!! To top it all currently im at work and was trying to call 0839001212 which is the network coverage support but apparently they close at 5pm, thye must consider working extended hours..DONT U THINK.
