Early this year, in February I took iPhone 5 contract with Cell C and the excitement ended when I realised the huge mistake I made - porting my 6 years Vodacom number to Cell C's network! No network coverage, and if lucky to get coverage-calls are cut off within the first minute. At first I thought the problem was with Midrand area where I stayed, but this persisted when I moved to Vaal for a short while. I am currently staying in Centurion and it is WORSE. I don't receive calls at all- all I get is SMS notification that I missed a call (when the coverage is better). Sometimes even with coverage, calls are taken straight to voicemail box. It is so bad that you still get cut when calling their helpdesk! I am paying R500 per month for nothing. I am so sick of this. I hope the management get this (oh and the report published by ICASA) and improve on their services!
Until this is resolved, I am telling everyone NOT TO USE ANY CELL C's service for they will regret big time. Yes the rates are cheaper and so is the service!
