I recently decided it was time to get a cellphone contract.
I started my employment early last year and have since resisted the urge to take on any clothing accounts, gym contracts and such. I thought that this was responsible and preferable to say the least. But now this effort to stay off the "credit gravy train" has now landed me in a position where I have to be stuck with an almost-dead phone for another 3-months (says the consultant).
How can my not having a credit history be an issue if I have an adequate: 3-month bank statement, payslip and proof of residence?
I was intending to make this contract my first "account". I've been solely using the Vodacom network for around 7years now and I'm just so disappointed at how being young and responsible can result in not reaping the rewards of being a willing, loyal and able customer,
