Data bill of R8290.93 in Question?
The problem in the way that Vodacom catches unsuspected clients. After obviously discussing the matter with a Vodacom assistant. It was suggested I change to a Talk 500 contract. I stressed that I don't want access to data once the 500 meg has run out.
Once I was informed of my incredible data usage I was informed that the aps on my phone created that. Whether I am aware or not and whether it is intentional or not!
I want to know why is my contract suddenly change adding thousands of rands to my bill?
The reason seems very obvious: it is the easiest way of making millions out of unsuspecting clients ever. How many people are paying for data in the same way as I do without utilizing one cent of it? The perfect rip-off by Vodacom.
No luck from Susan Monaise ECLO Her executive answer: We thank you for the time and effort taken to voice your dissatisfaction to our office. Kindly be advised that the matter is under investigation. We will provide feedback soon.
Only feedback is that the account is payable due to data used. That is not the issue! The next bill of nearly R4000 is due-and still no help from the executives.
