Unacceptable service on contract upgrade

1. Went in to do a contract upgrade on the 27/05/2013. Phone arrived on 30/05/2013 and a sim swap was done because I needs a micro sim. Today is the 04/06/2013 and the swap has not gone through yet.
Store logged incident lpk-26459-697 with the call centre. I phoned in a few times and still no one can tell what is happening. (Kara - 01/06/2013 - 1001286317, Baatiel - 03/06/2013 - 100135609, Stefanie - 04/06/2013 - 1001387741 - escalated to Matt Roberts). Apparently I need to wait for the activations epartment to respond. How long does that take. Its been two business days since the incident was escalated.

2. In two more days my 7 day out of the box failure warranty will expire but I have not used the phone yet. The new sim was inserted and the phone switched on by the sales consultant (Rustim) at the store. What happens if theres some thing wrong with the phone?

3. I was told that my new package would be active immediately and all I would need to do was pay the subsidy for my device for the next 2 months but now apparently the new package will only be activated on 30/06/2013. What type of use would I actually get out my new samsung s4 with a blackberry contract sim
