Vodacom's Vodacare doesn't care

Consultants from Vodacare, Greenacres Shopping Centre in Port Elizabeth, don't care. Last year I took up a Smart Standard contract with Vodacom and all went well with the "smart" phone that comes with the package up until about 2 months ago when the phone started having battery problems. I called Vodacom customer care and explained the problem I'm having with my cellphone which is less than 7 months old and still under warranty. She told me that I would have to visit my nearest Vodacare centre so they can have a look at the cellphone and repair/replace she also shared that Vodacom does not repair these specific phones, they merely replace them. At Vodcare, Jody informed me that the phone will have to go to JHB for 2 weeks as they don't repair them in Port Elizabeth. I did not have a problem with this until they told me that there are no loan phones so I will have to go without a phone during this time and there is nothing he can do about it. I subsequently declined to have the phone booked in as I felt the my consumer rights, as a paying customer, were being violated. At moment i am still using a defective product while paying the full price.

Shame on you Vodacom!!!
