I used the *180# to check tariffs available on the 8TA network. I saw promotional data tariff & selected it. I saw a msg saying u must have 8TA network. Nowhere did it say I will not be able to roam to MTN anymore. The 8TA signal is weak where I stay so need to roam to MTN. I went to East Rand Mall 8TA 3 times. Nobody emailed or phoned me to tell me what is happening. The store said it is possible to move the number back to 8TA more as they have done it before. This is my business number so that is why i need to be back on 8TA more so clients can get hold of me in the evening.
The case was resolved? Yet no one phoned me to tell me why they cant reverse the tariff. The head office says an email was sent to me but when the store checked the case details no email was sent. The total disregard for customers seems to be the old telkom way. I realised today 8TA is no more than an old car painted in new colours.
I will talk with my pocket by porting back to Vodacom and write 8TA off to a bad experience, thinking that Telkom brought better customer service with 8TA, as the saying goes a leopard never changes its spots.
Shame on 8TA for terrible customer service
