Did not agree to upgrade

Had 2 year contract with cellc which ended in December 2012, on the 16th of december i received an sms saying my upgrade has been approved i emmideately sent an email to customerservice saying that i did not apply for upgrade they must stop it, on the 02 jan 2013 i sent a fax to stop that to my suprise later in Jan my phone was suspended because of non payment, called 140 asked why do i have to pay for something i did not receive i m told its an upgrade they just add airtime on my phone up to date i did not see any airtime in my phone everytime i qiury this im tol a different reason now im forced to pay because the very phone (device) is the only means of communication i have they suspend i pay they suspend i pay till now i do not understand im i paying cellc for cheating me and forcing me to pay for something i did not agree on
